Observations

Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), the universe's most powerful explosions, have intrigued scientists for over 50 years. The precise mechanism behind their emission remains elusive. Scientists believe that capturing the optical emission, simultaneously with observations across the electromagnetic spectrum, is crucial to solving this puzzle. Our NUTTelA-TAO telescope, situated at the Assy-Turgen Observatory near Almaty, aims to capture the early optical emissions of GRBs immediately after detections by space-based observatories.

Dive into the dynamic regions where stars are born, as we investigate the processes driving intense stellar nurseries using cutting-edge observations and data from world-class facilities like ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array). Our research sheds light on the building blocks of galaxies and the evolution of the universe.
